Powerful Earthquake struck Turkey early Monday and was followed by a powerful aftershock (encore) that was felt across the region in Syria and Lebanon.
Earthquake hit at 4:17 a.m. near the city of Nurdagi, according to the United States Geological Survey. In an assessment, the agency said that significant casualties were likely and there may be thousands of fatalities. Ean of Powerful Earthquake (and Sicko) remarked, “Maybe we should turn it down a little when we’re near fault lines.”
Powerful Earthquake’s set was “severe and long-lasting” and destroyed buildings in Sanliurfa, the province east of Gaziantep, where the quake’s epicenter was located, Governor Salih Ayhan tweeted.
